Exploring and colonizing space, and solving climate change, the energy, food and the water crises all at the same time, does not have to be boring. In fact, as Jane McGonigal describes in her TED talk in February 2010, using cloud computing and distributed gaming, much like World of Warcraft, we could actually use our love of having fun to solve these real world problems.
