BTC and even FTL travel. It is similar to warp drive in that it relies on a spacecraft remaining at rest in a "bubble" of space moving through other space. However, instead of expanding space behind the spacecraft and contracting space in front of the spacecraft, slice drive simply splits space in front of the spacecraft and "glues space together" behind the spacecraft. This means the same distance transport with much less space-time manipulation, and also avoids problems such as infinite blueshift.
